Phillip Island’s famous little Penguin Parade will be streaming into living rooms across the country and around the world this weekend as part of Tourism Australia’s virtual travel experience – Live from AUS.

For the entire weekend of May 16 and 17, Tourism Australia will be going live with virtual travel experiences to a potential audience of more than 13 million people, inspiring them to dream about their next Australian holiday.

In a world-first, the penguins’ emergence from the water and their waddle across the beach to their burrows in the dunes will be streamed on the Facebook page at 6pm on Sunday, May 17.

Join radio funny-man Michael ‘Wippa’ Wipfli as he shares an entertaining bedtime story and tucks the penguins in for the night.

“We are thrilled to be part of this exciting virtual travel experience, and to have the opportunity to bring Phillip Island’s little penguins right into the homes of people around the world,” said Catherine Basterfield, Phillip Island Nature Parks Chief Executive Officer.

“We’re looking forward to the time when we’re able to welcome visitors back to our special little corner of Australia, but in the meantime make sure you get on board with Live from AUS and see what this wonderful country has to offer.”
