FAMILY members at two Victorian primary schools have been left traumatized by the actions of a junior years’ teacher and are now questioning the role of the Department of Education and Training in reportedly leaving the teacher in place after claims about his alleged sexual abuse of students had been received.

The teacher, 49-year-old Craig Liefting of Inverloch, was also moved from the school where the abuse had taken place, to another school in the same region, in 2019.

ABC Gippsland Radio reporter Kellie Lazzaro was in court when the sentence was handed down today.
