Wonthaggi has some of the best walking and cycling paths I’ve seen. From the converted railway trail to the Baxter’s loop trail – there’s something for all levels of fitness or even use with a mobility scooter.
But our paths are missing some links especially to the northern end of our town where wall-to-wall homes are frantically being constructed.
Yet no space is reserved by our town planners to connect up with the existing paths.
Is it too late to run a connection path from the eastern trail across Inverloch Road through the new estates around to the other estates being constructed in North Wonthaggi?
This could also be an alternate route for senior school students from the new estates to Wonthaggi’s newly-built McKenzie Street campus.
