Council elections are due to take place in October 2020, and candidate enrolment closes on September 22, 2020.
In the current restricted environment, Bass Coast Ratepayers and Residents Association (BCRRA) appreciates that it may be difficult for candidates to connect with voters, so as a community service BCRRA intends to make a page available on their website to each candidate for them to publicise their profile and candidate statements.
After this election we will have a new council to represent us for the next four years, and BCRRA wants to know what is important to the Bass Coast community moving forward. So, we plan to ask candidates a number of questions, with each candidate’s responses included as a part of their profile.
In order to compile these questions, BCRRA invites ratepayers and residents from across the shire to share their thoughts with us via a short online survey. We welcome all your questions, especially those in line with BCRRA’s purpose (to raise the standard of accountability, transparency, community engagement, and fiscal discipline at Bass Coast Shire Council).
Once a list of questions has been compiled, we hope to hold a virtual open meeting on Saturday August 22, 2020, between 2pm and 3pm to finalise them.
