NYORA’S Kasey Gambetta is walking to raise money in memory of Jack Fisher.

A long-time friend, Kasey’s hoping to raise $5000 for brain tumour research by walking and running 200km in 60 days.

So far, Kasey has raised $3000.

The Korumburra Secondary College student is running laps of the Nyora football oval and tracking the kilometres on a fitness watch and is just almost halfway to 200km.

Kasey said running laps helped take her mind off losing Jack.

“It’s good mentally and physically at the moment,” Kasey said.

The fundraiser finished October 13.

You can contact Kasey on or find her Facebook page ‘Kasey’s Fundraiser for Brain Tumour Research’ to donate.
