CRIME Scene Services were called to Wolf on Murray in Wonthaggi yesterday to investigate extensive damage to the store window and door.
Wonthaggi Police today confirmed they were not bullet holes, but instead made with an unknown object.
Sergeant Sean Kennedy said he had been down to the crime scene and hadn’t seen any evidence the holes were projectile shots, but instead more likely impact shots.
The unknown object was used to strike the front window and door several times, but the assailant did not enter the property, Sergeant Kennedy said.
Police are seeking witnesses to come forward to Wonthaggi Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
