A 25-YEAR-OLD Leongatha man has been arrested for allegedly smashing a number of store front windows on Murray Street, Wonthaggi, last night (Wednesday, October 7).
Police allege they caught the man smashing Wonthaggi Electronics’ front window.
He was charged with several counts of criminal damage.
This was the second time in the last few days the small businesses had been targeted.
Wonthaggi police confirmed nothing was taken from any of the stores.
Police allege he was also responsible for smashing the front window of another business along the same street on September 15.
While the damaged to the business looked like bullet holes, it was confirmed they were made by an unknown object as an impact hit, not a projectile shot.
If you can assist police with their investigation, call Wonthaggi police on 5671 4100.
