Open letter to Bass Coast Shire Council CEO Ms Ali Wastie.
The draft Community Engagement Policy 2021-2024 has been approved by councillors for public release seeking review comment.
The draft report released on December 16, 2021 currently has a closing date of Sunday, January 17, 2021 which is a period when council, councillors and the community are enjoying Christmas holiday festivities.
The final Community Engagement Policy 2021-2024 will become a new, extremely important policy setting a path of future engagement with all interested parties who wish to engage with council.
I request the closing date for the draft Community Engagement Policy 2021-2024 be changed to a new date of Friday, January 29, 2021 at 5pm.
The change of date will allow sufficient time for the holiday celebrations to pass and work has commenced in full.
Changing the date to 29/01/2021 would require announcements through the media and Facebook so that all community members are notified of the change.
Would you please advise of your decision?
Have a happy safe and well Christmas.
Graham Jolly, Cape Woolamai.
