AFL Gippsland has released a memorandum to all Gippsland League stakeholders after their round seven matches were forced to be abandoned.
The option to reschedule matches is available, but if clubs cannot agree on a suitable date, all matches will be abandoned with no points or percentage awarded.
If that does come to fruition, the Player Payments salary cap, which currently sits at $120,000, will be adjusted pro-rata of games played.
In the coming days, Gippsland League clubs will be meeting via zoom where they will discuss and finalise a date for round seven games.
If the lockdown ends as scheduled on Thursday, June 3 round eight will recommence as scheduled and no adjustments to the current finals structure or finals qualifications will occur.
If round seven cannot be rescheduled, the mental health round will be played on August 7 in round 16.
Junior football interleague training scheduled for June 2 will be rescheduled to June 9 and any association championships training will be cancelled.
Timelines outside the seven-day lockdown for the junior representative programs will remain as sent out.
