THE April Fixit Café in Wonthaggi was a great success.

Wooden toys, a sandwich toaster and slow computer were all fixed, which shows the range of skills offered.

The cafe was lucky to have had the electrical skills of Glenn and cake-making skills of Mary-anne, who have been regulars for the last couple of years before their move to Wonthaggi.

Their community spirit and unfailing practicality are invaluable. As always, the members of the Men’s Shed were ready to do repairs and sharpening.

The next session is on Sunday, May 16 between 11am and 1pm.

All are welcome to either bring an item you can carry to repair or to share the company and a cuppa.

If you have some skills to offer, organisers would be very happy to hear from you, or if you have a job to be done, that too can be registered in advance by calling in to Mitchell House or calling 5672 3731.

The Fixit Café will be held at the Harvest Centre/Wonthaggi Men’s Shed, behind Mitchell House (enter from the Goods Shed car park, via the Big W car park).
