POLICE were investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal collision which occurred in Lang Lang yesterday evening, where a 60-year-old man from Kilcunda sadly died at the scene.
Investigators have been told a white Nissan Patrol was seen travelling on the wrong side of the South Gippsland Highway about 6.45pm on Wednesday.
The Patrol then collided with the Kilcunda man’s vehicle which was travelling in the opposite direction.
The driver of the Nissan, a 32-year-old man from Koo Wee Rup, was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Detectives from Major Collision Investigation Unit were on scene and wished to speak to anyone who witnessed the crash or with dashcam footage of the crash or the Nissan Patrol prior to the collision.
