WONTHAGGI Pony Club was formed in 1971.
On Sunday, July 11, at its South Dudley grounds, the club hopes to see as many past and present members as possible in attendance, to celebrate 50 years of the Wonthaggi Pony club.
The day will begin at 10am and former members are very welcome and encouraged to come along and watch the current pony club riders, taking part in mounted games and show jumping rounds.
Go for a walk around the grounds, catch up with friends, and take a trip down memory lane with lots of displays in the clubrooms to be seen.
Lunch will begin to be served at noon, followed by past and present members sharing their memories and recollections of the club at around 1.30pm.
Afternoon tea will be served following the formalities, giving attendees a chance to catch up and reminisce.
The Wonthaggi Pony Club is and has always been an important place for the young equestrians of the Bass Coast Shire with its high-class equestrian facilities that have been painstakingly developed over the 50 years of the club’s existence.
Former members and their families who would like to attend, please get in touch, as the club would love to hear from you.
Organisers would love to see plenty come and make the event a day to remember.
People attending must register, pre-order and pay for their meal in advance by June 30.
A book has been written and limited copies are available for purchase.
Please email your details to firstname.lastname@example.org for a copy of the lunch order or book order form and it will be sent to you. If you have any queries, phone Shannon Burns on 0417 530 507.
