WORKS on a new outdoor play space are now complete as part of a $200,000 upgrade to make Bass Coast Specialist School more inclusive.

Bass MP Jordan Crugnale visited the Wonthaggi school recently to officially open the new sensory play space designed to be inclusive for all students. The play space was made possible by funding through the Inclusive Schools Fund.

“This new outdoor space is an absolute delight – it’s colourful, it’s interactive, makes music, and there are natural play areas to explore. A wonderful teaching and learning space that is a lot of fun too,” Ms Crugnale said.

“Congratulations to the school for putting in the application for funding and having their students at the heart of everything they do – seeing the students thrilled and proud to show it off when I visited was just the best!”
