Detectives from the Major Collision Investigation Unit were continuing investigations after a six-year-old boy was struck by a vehicle in San Remo on Thursday, June 24.
A 28-year-old Cowes man was interviewed and released pending further enquiries after the boy was struck by a vehicle on Marine Parade about 4.35pm.
The boy was flown to the Royal Children’s Hospital by air ambulance and suffered serious chest and abdominal injuries.
The boy is in hospital in a stable condition.
