LOCAL lifestyle and business coach Jess Harle is continuing to support local businesses who have struggled due to the pandemic.
She recently helped set up a GoFundMe page for members of the community to donate to in support of local businesses, and in return she provided services within her coaching business.
Approximately $3160 was raised from 28 donations, and after the $110 fees were taken out, they had $3050 to spread amongst local businesses.
They then put it to a vote on social media, asking the public who they think the money should go to and why.
The recipients included Fisk Beauty with owner Shari Nichols receiving $350, The Inlet Hotel owned by John McInnes who received $1000 and Boudoir by Karen Egan, a freelance photographer who received $250.
Dennis Armstrong at the Koo Wee Rup Gym and Fitness Centre received $350, Crystal Harrison at Her. Skin Spa received $300, Laura Beauglehall at Dot and Lu received $300, and Jodie Williams GypsyDreaming received $500.
Jess said it was extremely satisfying being able to help business owners who have struggled in recent times.
“It helped most of these businesses, without us even realising, get themselves out of a hard spot,” Jess said.
“Which also helped them emotionally deal with these lockdowns as well which is what we wanted to focus on the most.
“So many people in business don’t share their vulnerability and we all know what it’s like when we have not much income coming in.
“We really wanted to reach out to those ones who might not have the extra benefits and be able to come back and restock their businesses when times are tough.
“We want to keep their doors open.”
