THERE are now 22 active COVID-19 cases in Latrobe City, with the shire in its first day of a seven-day snap lockdown.

There are four cases in Bass Coast (one was cleared yesterday, but then another person tested positive), two in South Gippsland, two in Wellington and four in Baw Baw – totalling 34 active cases in Gippsland.

Authorities say due to the evolving situation, an additional drive-through pop-up testing site has been established at the Morwell East Football Netball Ground. This site will open at 12pm today.

To access the Morwell East Football Netball Ground, please follow traffic management signage and enter from Vary Street, heading south from Hourigan Road. Turn left to drive around the oval to the testing site.

Please refrain from blocking local residents’ driveways.

New exposure dates and times have been added to the Tier 1 Exposure Site at Traralgon Repco. Thursday 23 September, 12.00pm – 5.30pm, Friday 24 September, 8.00am – 5.30pm.

Additional testing sites in Latrobe City include:

  • Gippsland Regional Indoor Sports Stadium drive through, Ashby St, Traralgon 9.30am – 5pm today, Thursday 30 September and Friday 1 October. No appointments required.
  • Dorevitch Pathology drive through at LRH, Traralgon 10am – 3pm today and tomorrow, and 9am – 11.30am Friday. For bookings contact 5165 0800.
  • LCHS – Senior Citizens Centre, Moe – Walk-up, no appointments necessary. 9am – 11am today and 9am – 11am and 1pm – 4pm tomorrow, and 9am – 12pm Friday.
