HILL End and Mirboo North are both pushing for a grand final to be played in the Mid Gippsland Football Netball League.
Last week, the league confirmed they remained committed to finding a premier by October 2, but there is a push from certain clubs for a grand final to be played anywhere at any time, even in November.
Hill End coach Mike Santo does not want to accept a minor premiership for finishing on top of the ladder, instead he’s trying his best to schedule a grand final against Mirboo North.
It’s understood Mirboo North coach Josh Taylor is on board with the motion as well.
Some clubs in the league agree with Santo and Taylor and see the benefit of possibly being the only league to play a grand final in 2021.
At last night’s league committee meeting, the league decided there would be a meeting between clubs and the league on Monday night to decide on the way forward.
