William Henry (Harry) Thompson, State Coal Mine token number 157, from 1917 to 1927.

William served in the Sudan and Boer Wars in the British Army and WW1 with the First AIF – three separate campaigns.

The Wonthaggi RSL is looking for a photo of this veteran and any family details as part of a project to identify Bass Coast veterans from WW1 and 2.

William arrived in 1910 from Wales. His wife is Elizabeth (Derby) Thompson. He is buried in the Wonthaggi Cemetery, his grave cannot be located so his service cannot be properly recognised, but a photograph can be placed in the RSL Hall in memory of his service in three separate wars.
