CACTUS Black Wonthaggi is thrilled to reopen after restrictions in regional Victoria eased today.
Owner Tegan Barry has been busy this morning arranging the shop with the latest surf and streetwear, as she is finally able to welcome customers back in-person.
“Sales have been better than the last lockdown because of Father’s Day,” she said.
“People had to get last-minute gifts because they weren’t expecting shops to be closed.
“We had a few click and collects… but it’s much better being open.”
However, Tegan said the past weeks had been challenging as demand for online sales greatly fluctuated but she continued to find ways to stay occupied and motivated.
She also hopes the state government will keep regional Victoria open when there were no cases, so local businesses aren’t forced to close.
