LAST Tuesday, the Wonthaggi Club, in partnership with Infinity8 Wholefoods, gave away 100 chicken parmas to local healthcare workers.

All the healthcare workers had to do was ring up and order and show their ID badge on pick up to receive the delicious meal.

The Wonthaggi Club said they loved looking after locals, especially those who had been working extremely hard to help us through the pandemic.

“As a community club, we love supporting our locals as much as we can,” they said.

“We recognise how hard our healthcare workers are working at the moment and we support them however we can.”

Along with their parma giveaway, the club was also collecting donations for the Bass Coast Health Ladies Auxiliary to improve facilities at the Wonthaggi Hospital.

Bass Coast Health also took to Facebook to thank the Wonthaggi Club for their generous giveaway.

“Bass Coast Health staff were delighted to be treated to dinner in recognition of healthcare workers’ efforts during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic,” the organisation said.
