BASS Coast Crime Investigation Unit is investigating two aggravated burglaries on Phillip Island which occurred on Sunday morning, October 10.
Police were called to an address on Mountainview Avenue, Ventnor, following reports of an aggravated burglary about 5.30am.
When officers arrived at the property, a number of people were seen fleeing from the address.
A grey Holden Evoke, which had been intercepted by police earlier in the evening, was located nearby.
Officers then responded to reports of another aggravated burglary in nearby Steele Street in Cowes about 6.15am.
A champagne Toyota Prado was stolen from the address and was later involved in a collision at the intersection of Coghlan Road and Settlement Road about 10.30am.
The occupants fled the vehicle, and the investigation is ongoing.
