ON SUNDAY, Western Bulldogs young gun Cody Weightman made an appearance at the Kilcunda Bass Football Netball Club.
The electric small forward came to the club for their meet the coaches day, where he put on a footy clinic for local youngsters.
His older brother Jake, who captains the senior team at Kilcunda Bass, also helped out with the clinic and the crowd then followed Weightman into the social rooms.
It was there where he spoke about his explosion onto the scene in the AFL this year, and also revealed some funny stories leading into the draft.
After the interview, a seemingly never-ending line of fans lined up for autographs and photos with the 20-year-old, showing just how popular he is already.
“It’s a great club,” Weightman said.
“Obviously with my brother I’ve got the family connection and it’s been great to get to a few games in recent years.
“Hopefully I can get to a few more next year.”
