I again write to thank the people of Inverloch for the outstanding support for Remembrance Day.
It was very disappointing that we had to move from the cenotaph to the RSL Hall because of drainage works that were done in the Information Centre forecourt.
I wish to thank my team at the sub-branch who in their stride followed the old ‘adapt, improvise, overcome’ mantra and the service was its normal high standard and well attended by the Inverloch community.
We do appreciate the support and respect shown for the day from the community groups, the school and Scout Group with the laying of wreaths and, of course, the great result for our poppy sales.
It was also a little bit special this year as we dedicated a new plaque that recognised the sacrifices of Australian Forces in the many wars, and peacekeeping operations.
Lest we Forget.
Bob Sutton, president, Inverloch RSL sub-branch.
