MORE than 91 per cent of Bass Coast residents and 86 per cent of South Gippsland residents are now fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

Specifically, the latest numbers from the federal government show Bass Coast is at 91.4 per cent and South Gippsland 86.5 per cent.

Vaccine data is sourced from the Australian Immunisation Register at 11.59pm on Sunday, October 31, so it’s likely those numbers have grown further since then.

Either way, it’s a significant rise on last week’s numbers – 85.7 per cent Bass Coast and 80.8 per cent South Gippsland.

More than 95 per cent of the population in both shires have received at least one dose, but numbers are not published any higher than 95 per cent.
