WITH a crisp new look and feel, The Channel Store is now open in Cape Paterson.

Karen and Alan Earl have been working tirelessly on the store makeover and are keen to serve the community, welcoming customers in-store.

Alan is a qualified chef, having worked all over the world, and wants to “fill people’s belly with wholesome fresh food that makes them happy”.

Already, Alan has a great local reputation for his burgers, with choices including Cape, Killy, Baxter’s, Bay, Cutlers and Powlett Burgers.

Trying to be as inclusive as they can, Karen and Alan have catering choices for vegans as well as gluten-free options.

“We are not forgetting that we are a ‘store’ and we have a grocery/retail area,” Karen said.

In fact, so keen to cater to locals, she took to Facebook and was swamped with all the usual answers, including sourdough bread, local Bass River Dairies products, newspapers and ice creams – just to mention a few.

“Having these answers helped decide what to stock to make sure we are selling the products people buy,” Karen said.

Whether it is takeaway fish ‘n’ chips you want or a sit-down meal, pop down now and meet Karen and Alan, who are keen to serve the community.

The Channel Store is on Surf Beach Road in Cape Paterson.
