Have you ever watched the live Bass Coast Shire Council meetings?
For those that live in the Bunurong Ward – and voted for Councillor Les Larke – you should be outraged by his treatment by other councillors in these meetings.
Month after month Councillor Larke has asked questions about a myriad of things – requesting access to contracts (waste being one of them) – budgets – anything to do with council expenditure – but is constantly shut down.
Watching these council meetings actually makes me cringe witnessing this treatment of him.
I would like to remind all councillors that you are only there to represent those who voted for you – as Councillor Larke is endeavouring to do by these requests – so a great deal more respect and cooperation should be shown to him at the minimum.

Baker’s Delight used to have an onsite stamp-card system to encourage sales by offering a whole free loaf, after a certain number of purchases. But, then they decided they’d go digital and you had to register online. I gave it a try, but just like many government sites too, if you do not have a mobile phone, once you reach that ”required field”, it’s goodbye, much appreciated customer.
Three attempts to address this through Baker’s Delight by email saw me provided with a case resolution number. So far, after 3 months, I’ve been ignored.
Charlie, is it possible for you to ask questions at the council meeting ?
If so then either ask a question along the same lines as Councillor Les Larke, or alternatively ask why his questions are being shut down.
