CFA crews battled an intense shed fire on the Loch-Wonthaggi Road in Loch, at about 4:45pm on Monday, April 24.
Ten CFA units, including those from Loch, Poowong and Korumburra attended and were able to contain the fire to the section of origin.
The shed was 10m x 15m and contained hay and farming machinery.
About 30 round hay bales were removed from the shed and spread out in a nearby paddock to be allowed to continue to burn.
Firefighters were able to prevent the fire from spreading to the adjoining machinery shed, using the landowner’s machinery and protection lines from CFA appliances.
Crews had the incident under control by 6:22pm and the area was declared safe by 8:27pm.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this stage.
