AN ADVICE message has been issued for Sandy Point and Yanakie this afternoon after a bushfire at Yanakie has not yet been brought under control.
The bushfire is travelling from Millar Road and Hourigan Camp Lane in a westerly direction towards Shallow Inlet.
There is currently no threat to communities, but you should continue to stay informed and monitor conditions.
What you should do:
- Monitor weather conditions and warnings.
- Review your fire survival plan.
- If you do not have a plan, decide what you will do if the situation changes.
Impacts in your area:
- Firefighters are on scene and have slowed the spread of fire in paddocks and coastal land adjacent to Shallow Inlet.
- Aircraft are operating in the area.
- Smoke may be visible from nearby communities and roads.
