Those who have never tried the sport before do not fret as volunteers will guide you through every step including picking out the perfect weight bowls.
Bring out the inner Jack Simpson as you enjoy the relaxed social game. Perfect for all skill levels, barefoot bowls combines a streak of competition with a laid-back vibe.
A casual and enjoyable lawn bowling activity participants can opt to go barefoot or keep flat-soled shoes on as they send the ball down the rink with bowls provided by the club.
Having thoroughly enjoyed barefoot bowls on a few occasions now, this writer definitely recommends popping down for a few games.
If travelling solo do not fret, the friendly volunteers will pair you up with another group or jump on a rink for a few matches.
Even if the weather is less than favourable or a scorcher, head on down and give it a go.
Bookings are not essential, but after last year’s overwhelming popularity, there are two sessions running this year, one from 5pm to 6.30pm and a second session from 7pm to 8.30pm at Inverloch Bowls Club, The Esplanade.
