Phillip Island Boardriders Club welcome 24/25 supergroms

ON Friday, October 25, Phillip Island Boardriders Club (PIBC) kicked off the Supergrom season with their annual Supergroms info night at the PIBC clubrooms.

This season’s Supergroms Coordinator Melanie Wright and Supergroms committee Alisha Hill and Jasmine Keogh, along with President Jake Eisen organised a fantastic event for the community.

With help from PIBC president Jake, PIBC delved into their club’s history, explored a day in the life of a Supergrom, and shared valuable tips for parents to support their groms in the surf.

They even gave everyone a sneak peek at PIBC’s 2024 merchandise to get the groms frothing. President Jake Eisen said “It was heartwarming to see so many new faces ready to embark on their journey with PIBC. Mel, Ali and Jas did such a great job organising and running the Supergroms intro night.”

PIBC extend a special thank you to the Supergroms grads kids Bill Easton and Otis Joyner who inspired the next generation with their stories, Diego Monteiro for manning the BBQ, and local IGA San Remo and Bakers Delight Cowes for helping put the event together.

PIBC are also looking forward to their first Aggregate comp and Supergroms day on Saturday 9 November, which will be followed by their first 24/25 presentation evening at the PIBC clubhouse, featuring musicians 1080 Door Jams playing from 8pm to kick off the season in flying form.
