NEWHAVEN College is abuzz with preparations for the new year. College educators and support staff participate in professional development sessions on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday before school commences. These sessions provide an opportunity for staff to reconnect, collaborate and plan for the year ahead.
The College grounds have had a facelift over the summer break, with the Newhaven College Grounds and Maintenance crew working on cleaning and staining decks and facades and refreshing the gardens. The school campus has never looked so good.
College Principal, Tony Corr welcomes those new to the College community including 11 new and returning staff. This new group of staff and teachers truly represents the broad range of employment opportunities provided by Newhaven College. The group includes Cath Huther (Head of Junior School), Jessica Brent (Lab Technician), Andre Whitton (School Chaplain), Sue Finlayson (Performing Arts Administrator), Jennifer Haigh (Education Support), Meagan Hollings (Food Technology Assistant), Aaron Chaston (Maths Teacher), Mairaed Carlin (Humanities and English Reacher), Kurt Chadwick (Head of Student Support), Kerryn Lynch (returning- Junior School Teacher), Cath Huther (Head of Junior School) and Lucas Chihotski (AFL SportsReady Trainee).
Newhaven College anticipates a wonderful start to 2024 and look forward to welcoming families back this week.
