MANY of the residents in Nyora were overjoyed to receive heartfelt and delicious surprises in their letterboxes last week, ahead of Easter.
For the past eight years students from Nyora Primary School have made Easter cards and hand delivered them around the township of Nyora – some with chocolate eggs attached.
All students at the school help to create the handmade cards, writing a personal message on each one.
The students then have fun picking different routes to make their deliveries to.
All staff and students enjoy the delivery walk and usually finish at the local playground to play and chat with locals.
This year students were thrilled when staff showed them the overwhelming amount of thank you messages from locals on the community notice board.
Students also deliver Christmas cards to houses and enjoy being part of the community and spreading cheer and goodwill to others.
