THE Kilcunda community continues to eagerly await the completion of the skate park and playspace currently underway near the foreshore.
According to the shire’s Engage website, the skate bowl is expected to be completed by the end of this month, while the skate park will be open in late June.
The playspace section, which includes a natural feeling space with timber and rock features, along with traditional play elements for climbing, sliding and swinging, is scheduled for completion at the end of September.
The facility will also feature a shelter with seating and an accessible ramp entrance from both the Bass Coast Rail Trail and the foreshore.
The skate park will feature a bowl and roll in for beginners, a deep end for more advanced skaters, slappy kerb, water fall and pier seven ledge.
