South Gippsland Specialist School student Zarisha holds the new defibrillator presented to the school by St John Ambulance media and communications executive Andrew Kilmartin, with student Aylah and principal Heather Braden also on hand for the occasion.

FOLLOWING the recent month-long ‘Shocktober’ campaign, St John Ambulance Victoria awarded a defibrillator to South Gippsland Specialist School (SGSS), presenting it to principal Heather Braden on Tuesday.

‘Shocktober’ highlights the vital nature of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDS) and CPR in the event of a sudden cardiac arrest.
