Stockyard Creek ready for Pearl Park music festival

1 min read

GRAB a partner, pack a picnic, slap on a hat and don your dancing shoes for the free Pearl Park music festival at Stockyard Creek in Foster.

One hundred musicians are expected to hit the stage under the beautiful canopy of Stockyard Creek’s Pearl Park on Saturday, January 4.

A fun day out is promised for all with food and market stalls, open cafes, al-fresco bar, art exhibitions and continual live music from 10am to 10pm.

Whether it be lazing on the lush lawns in one of the deck chairs provided, nattering loudly with friends, or better still wildly throwing your arms around on the open dance floor Pearl Park has something for everyone.

Large grants which helped cover the costs of previous festivals in 2023 and 2019 are not available this time around so volunteer organisers have been hard at work fundraising for the event since August.

To date close to $7000 has been raised almost half of their $15,000 goal.

Major supporters include the Community Bank Toora and Foster, South Gippsland Shire Council, Foster Foodworks and the Teskey Brothers band.

Further financial support has also been gratefully received from Qube, Foster Exchange Hotel, Toora Lions, Foster Garden and Gravel, Southerly Ten, Foster Cars and Off Road, Tyrepower Foster and Paragreen Real Estate.

Manna Gum Community House is the major auspicing partner.

Organisers welcome volunteers to help set up and pack down the event, work behind the bar or help with many of the odd jobs needed to ensure the event runs smoothly.
