POLICE and emergency services are at the scene of a terrible crash in Wonthaggi, at the corner of Billson Street and Hagelthorn Street.
It has been reported that a car has failed to negotiate the corner and crashed through the open drain in Billson Street and flipped on impact.
Debris is littered around the scene.
The crash is believed to have occurred around 8pm on Wednesday, December 4.
It is understood that the driver of the car has been injured, but the passenger has escaped with only minor injuries.
It has been reported that speed may have been a factor but both the cause of the collision and the extent of the injuries to those involved is unconfirmed at this stage.
