WITH reference to the article published last week titled “Beware of Fake News” I would urge voters to do their own independent research on the candidate they wish to vote for.

A great place to start would be to take a look at the website of community Independent Deb Leonard where they can not only read about her policies, but they can also see where every single dollar supporting her campaign has come from. 

Donations to other parties are not displayed until after the election and I think it is of high importance to know exactly who is donating to each candidate before they get our vote. 

As the current sitting member, our outgoing candidate receives substantial funding and paid staff. It is a little bit disingenuous for him to cast doubts about other candidates’ funding when I failed to see any mention of the sources of his funding on his website.
