BURRA Foods was recently announced as winner of the 2024 Governor of Victoria Export Awards category Agribusiness, Food and Beverages.
That section recognises outstanding international success in the field of manufactured foods, beverages and agricultural products.
“It’s fantastic to be recognised for all the hard work that goes into exporting dairy,” Burra Foods CEO Stewart Carson said.
He credited the company’s milk supply partners and their focus on producing high quality milk that is then collected and processed into “a myriad of products for export”.
Burra Foods is now in the running for November’s Australian Exporter of the Year Awards.
“With a global footprint and a strong presence in Australia, Japan and China, Burra Foods offers a comprehensive range of premium dairy products,” it is acknowledged in the Governor of Victoria Export Awards booklet.
“Burra Foods’ state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Korumburra incorporates cutting-edge technology and a focus on continuous product innovation,” it adds, praising the high quality of milk the company sources and the fact it ensures its products meet the most stringent demands.
The company’s General Manager of Sales and Marketing Josephine Rees accepted the award.
“The Governor of Victoria Export Awards recognise the State’s brightest talents and most innovative businesses and we’re proud to be part of this esteemed group,” Burra Foods stated.
The business thanked Her Excellency Professor the Honourable Margaret Gardner AC, Governor of Victoria, and congratulated all the other winners for their achievements.
“It was wonderful to see so many of Victoria’s businesses showcased, and the event highlighted the incredible talent and innovation within our State,” Burra Foods said, noting a diverse array of industries was represented.
