Three more cruise ships for Phillip Island’s summer

IT’S been quite a lucrative summer for Phillip Island and its cruise ship schedule with seven boats arriving and another two to come before the end of February.

On Sunday this week, it was the boutique ship, Viking Sky, with its 930-passenger and 550 staff which arrived in the morning.

It will be followed by its sister ship, the Viking Neptune of 928 passengers and 465 staff on Valantine’s Day, February 14 and finally the Seabourn Odyssey returns for its third visit of the season on Saturday, February 17.

All that remains then is for the biggest visitor of the lot, Pacific Adventure to arrive on Saturday, April 27, with as many as 2636 passengers and a crew of 1100.

Destination Phillip Island welcomes each cruise ship as passenger tenders arrive in the Rhyll Jetty area also providing a package of welcoming infrastructure and support with the development of shore excursions.
