AN extreme fire danger rating has been forecast through eastern South Australia, western Victoria and central Victoria for tomorrow, including Bass Coast.
A high fire danger rating is forecast for South Gippsland.
Tuesday’s cooler conditions will see an easing of fire danger ratings through Victoria according to the Bureau of Meteorology (BOM).
A total fire ban is in place for Central Victoria alongside West and South Gippsland tomorrow.
Victoria is expected to swelter on Monday with temperatures at 4pm predicting a maximum of 38 degrees with a late cool change in Wonthaggi, whilst Leongatha is set for a maximum of 39, partly cloudy. Temperatures in Melbourne are expected to reach 41 degrees on Monday.
