A NEW car for Christmas is on the list for six people this afternoon after a car smashed into five vehicles at Wonthaggi Hospital.

The cause is being investigated by Inverloch Police, however, it is understood the driver was at the hospital for an appointment.

The trail of destruction in the top carpark also pushed a vehicle into the free-standing wall in front of the old hospital entrance, with structural engineers heading to scene to ensure the wall is structurally safe.

The top left carpark is currently blocked off and will remain closed whilst vehicles are cleared away and investigations undertaken.

No-one, including the driver, was injured.
