1 min read

AIR Wing and local police officers rescued a man and woman in Cape Woolamai last night.

Victoria police confirmed the pair veered from a walking trail onto cliffs near Cleeland Bight Beach about 5.40pm.

The two struggled to make their way back through thick bushland when they noticed the ocean tide getting higher.

Police, SES, Ambulance Victoria, CFA and Surf Life Saving Victoria attended to assist with the rescue.

Air Wing winched the 47-year-old woman and 37-year-old man to safety at approximately 6.45pm.

The duo from Lower Plenty did not sustain any injuries.
