THE Nationals proudly endorsed Glenn Arnold as the Party’s candidate for the Senate for the upcoming Federal Election yesterday afternoon.

Mr Arnold, a Bass Coast resident and President of the Inverloch Surf Lifesaving Club, has been a vocal community advocate for infrastructure investment, environmental protection, and economic growth in rural and regional areas.

Mr. Arnold, with more than 22 years of experience in workforce planning, recruitment, and project management, has played a key role in supporting businesses both across Australia and internationally. According to The Nationals, his extensive expertise in job creation and industry development positions him as a strong advocate for policies aimed at supporting regional businesses and workers.

"I understand the challenges that regional communities face, from cost-of-living pressures to deteriorating infrastructure and environmental challenges like coastal erosion," Mr Arnold said.

"I have been fighting to protect our community assets, including the Inverloch Surf Lifesaving Club, which is at risk due to severe beach erosion.

“We need urgent government action to secure regional infrastructure, and I will be a strong voice in Canberra to ensure that regional communities get their fair share."

Mr Arnold recently joined over 500 Inverloch residents in calling for immediate state and federal intervention to protect the local foreshore, safeguard homes, and prevent essential community assets from being lost to erosion.

Nationals State President Jo Armstrong said Mr Arnold’s community leadership and passion for regional Victoria makes him an outstanding Senate candidate.

"I am delighted The Nationals have selected such a dedicated community advocate to represent regional Victoria in the Senate," Ms Armstrong said.

"Glenn has a proven record of fighting for his community. He has shown leadership on key issues, including coastal erosion and regional job creation, which proves he will be a powerful voice for regional people in Canberra."

Victorian Senator and Leader of The Nationals in the Senate, Bridget McKenzie says she is thrilled to have Glenn join the Senate team.

“The Nationals Senate team has a strong record of standing up for the regions”.

“Glenn Arnold is champion for regional communities and will bolster our team as we tackle cost of living pressures, better healthcare and rising concerns about international and local safety”.
