Local ‘Farmer Wants a Wife’ at Leongatha Saleyards

1 min read

THE 2023 series on Channel 7 of ‘Farmer Wants A Wife’ will be full of interest for Gippslanders.

One of the seven young Australian farmers so far revealed for next year’s series is Brenton Kuch of Darriman, a small rural grazing district north-east of Woodside.

On Friday, December 9, the cameras of Channel 7 zeroed in on the Leongatha Saleyards, where the Kuch family regularly sell cattle via Nutrien South Gippsland Livestock and their popular local auctioneer Brian McCormack scored his own "15 minutes of fame".

“I thought they were going to ask me if I wanted to be an emergency,” said Brian McCormack with a laugh, after the interview to camera.

“I imagine they’ll leave me on the cutting room floor,” he said.

Along with, many said, a handsome-looking Brenton, were several of his potential suitors, appropriately dressed for the saleyards, although the media was warned against getting too close while the program is still in creation.

So, look out for South Gippslander Brenton Kuch when the 2023 series of Farmer Wants a Wife goes to air, and also, check it out to see how Brian McCormack scrubs up too!
