1 min read

A MOTORCYCLIST has been flown via Air Ambulance (HEMS) to Melbourne after coming off his motorcycle on Korumburra-Wonthaggi Road, near the intersection of Korumburra-Inverloch Road.

The rider incurred extensive lower body injuries after a driver unavoidably ran over the rider.

At this stage, Police believe the motorcyclist was travelling in an easterly direction and appears to have fallen from his motorcycle around the bend, sliding in front of the oncoming vehicle.

Wonthaggi Police Station are appealing for witnesses and information with investigations ongoing.

It’s believed the driver of the vehicle, who collided the motorcyclist, is not at fault and was unable to avoid the collision.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Wonthaggi Police Station (5671 4100) or Crimestoppers on 1800 333 000.
