OFFICIAL POLICE STATEMENT
Armed Crime Squad detectives are investigating a firearms incident in Wonthaggi on Sunday, 12 January.
Emergency services were called to reports a man was shot following an altercation on Fahey Street about 2am.
The man was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The male offender fled the scene.
The two men are believed to be known to each other.
Police are working to establish the exact circumstances of the incident and the investigation is ongoing.
