UPDATE: Accident scene clear. Traffic moving normally. 

A TWO-car collision at the intersection of Phillip Island Road and Bergin Grove at the western entrance to Marine Parade San Remo is causing significant traffic delays.

One of the cars flipped on to its roof on impact. The other car sustained front end damage, but it appears the passengers of the cars are uninjured.

Police have control of the intersection and traffic is being slowly allowed to move through the accident scene.

The two cars involved are still in their original position and are yet to be salvaged by tow truck drivers. There have been no reports of significant injuries, although this is unconfirmed at this time.
