Report by the SGSAA
AGENTS yarded just under 6000 head at last Fridays VLE Leongatha store sale in an outstanding yarding of cattle. The offering consisted of lane after lane of mostly angus grown steers and weaners and included some good Herefords and a few pens of Euro cross types with only about 250 Xbreds and dairy types in the yarding. Prices remained steady for the heavy feeder cattle with all of the feedlot buyers active and securing a large portion of the offering with graziers buying a few pens.
Weaners were generally just a whisker cheaper by around 10 cents than the last sale but there were a few sales selling at similar rates.
