Hit the beach after work at the Wonthaggi hospital

1 min read

WHAT’S not to like? If you’re a young doctor looking for the ultimate sea change, Bass Coast Health has the dream job for you.

Working out of the new Wonthaggi Hospital, with possible involvement at the Phillip Island Health Hub, you’ll be a morning surf away from some of the best beach breaks in the world, and some terrific reefs as well.

The health service, which has nearly completed the $115 million stage one of the sub-regional hospital expansion at Wonthaggi, is advertising for three new effective full-time Medical Registrars.

And they're offering a range of other permanent full-time or part-time positions in a variety of other areas as well.

If the Labor Party wins the election, there’s the promise of another $290 million worth of investment on the way, plus development of a new community hospital at Phillip Island.

Why not live at Cape Woolamai and get the lifestyle balance working for you!

While focussing on the medical role, Bass Coast Health hasn’t failed to talk up its location on some of the “most beautiful coastline in Victoria” in its ‘Medical Registrars’ advert.

“If you align with our Vision and Values, and would like to pursue employment in a community where sun, sand, surf and a positive lifestyle await, this is the job for you!”

Bass Coast Health has a broad range of positions available including Aboriginal Health Liaison Officer, Anaesthetist, Registered Nurses (Acute, Haemodialysis, Midwifery, Sub Acute, ED, and General), Social Worker Team Leader and more.
