Christmas theme for pony club rally

THE last rally for 2022 was held on Sunday at the Wonthaggi Pony Club. 

To start the day in a festive spirit, the riders, horses and ponies dressed up in a Christmas theme. 

Lots of smiles and laughter. 

A wonderful rally followed where the big kids got to ride with the little ones as they earned points for their teams. The confidence for the younger riders that comes from this is invaluable as the senior riders mentor and encourage them all the way. It was so great to see. 

Teams accumulated points in cross country, bending, barrel racing and apple bobbing. 

Presentations were made as past committee members handed over to the new. 

Tammy Larking gained a well deserved Life Membership and the club was sad to farewell the McInnes family, a prominent family that have worked tirelessly for the club for over 16 years. 

The new president, Tanya Jackson presented the awards.

A big thank you to all who have contributed to the development of the beautiful cross country grounds. 

The huge water jump is an exciting new feature and will be completed in time for the upcoming January, three day camp.
